What actually happened on track

Toyota's No. 7 car, shared by Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway and Nyck de Vries, won after 381 laps, edging the No. 20 BMW M Team WRT entry of Robin Frijns, Rene Rast and Sheldon van der Linde by less than 11 seconds after 24 hours of racing. The sister No. 8 Toyota, driven by Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa, completed the overall podium in third, giving Toyota a one-three finish built on strategy and tire management rather than outright pace. In LMP2, the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition crew took the class win, while the No. 33 Corvette dominated the newer LMGT3 category that replaced the old GTE Am class in 2024.
