Reader mail genuinely changes what we publish, so it is worth making it easy to reach the right desk. Pick the address that matches what you are writing about — it goes to the person who can act on it rather than into a general queue.

Corrections

This is the one we care most about, so it comes first.

If something on Zimakk is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. We do not need you to be polite about it and we do not need you to be certain — “I think this paragraph has the rule backwards” is a perfectly useful message. What helps most is the page, the passage, and what you believe the correct position to be.

We aim to acknowledge corrections within one working day and to resolve clear factual errors within one to two. Where a claim is contested rather than plainly wrong, it takes longer, because we would rather establish what is true than change a sentence to end an exchange. When we amend a piece, the change is noted on the page.

Story suggestions

We are looking for mechanisms, not results. The suggestions we act on tend to arrive shaped like a question: why does this format produce that behaviour, why did this rule have an effect nobody intended, why does this approach keep working when it should not.

We do not commission match reports, previews, transfer speculation or betting content, so those are the suggestions we will politely decline. We also cannot use unpublished insider information, and we would rather you did not send it.

We read everything. We cannot reply to everything — if a suggestion turns into a piece, you will hear from us.

Rights and permissions

Quoting a short passage with a link back needs no permission from us; go ahead. Republishing a piece in full, translating it, or using our material commercially does need permission, and the rights address above is the place to ask.

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, write to the rights address with the page, the material at issue, and enough detail to identify what you hold. We take those messages seriously and we act on them.

Privacy and data requests

Requests to access, correct, export or delete personal information go to the privacy address, and we handle them within the timeframes described in our Privacy Policy. Please write from the address the request concerns where you can — it saves a round trip establishing who you are.

Advertising and partnerships

Advertising enquiries are welcome at the address above. Two things worth stating up front, because they save everyone time: we do not sell editorial coverage, and we do not publish content written by an advertiser under a house byline. Anything commercial is labelled as such. If that structure works for you, we would like to hear from you.

What we cannot help with

We are an editorial site, not a governing body, a club, a promoter or a ticketing service. We cannot pass messages to athletes, intervene in a competition decision, resolve a ticketing problem, or help with a dispute involving an organisation we merely write about. Those messages will go unanswered, not out of rudeness but because there is nothing useful we could do with them.

Response times

Corrections: one working day to acknowledge, usually one to two to resolve. Everything else: within five working days. If you have written about something urgent and have not heard back inside a week, write again — occasionally mail does go missing, and a second message is not a nuisance.
