Peugeot arrived with the 9X8 in 2022. Ferrari returned in 2023 with the 499P, the marque's first Le Mans prototype effort since 1973, fielding cars run by AF Corse. Porsche and Cadillac both joined the same year, Porsche through Penske Motorsport and Cadillac with its V-Series.R. Lamborghini and BMW followed for 2024, Alpine stepped up its A424 program, and Aston Martin brought the Valkyrie into the class. For 2026, Genesis became the newest name in Hypercar, debuting its GMR-001 after the Korean manufacturer built a program from scratch specifically to contest Le Mans, while Toyota rolled out a heavily reworked car rebranded the TR001 Hybrid, built on the bones of the machine that won in 2021 and 2022.
